ant turns 24!

on monday the fiancé' turned 24. (for all of you who didn't wish him a happy birthday, you suck.) i always love the months after his birthday and until mine because then i don't feel too old. "i'm 25, he's 24". sounds better than "i'm 25 and he's 23. haha, it really doesn't bother me that much at all.

we spent sunday into monday at a hotel in montauk. it was so flippin peaceful, looking back on it now i really really enjoyed myself. the weather was crummy but our room was awesome and right on the ocean. we got a groupon deal which is why we decided to go. during the day on sunday we went to montauk brewing co. it was such a good time. it's small, just a tasting room. one of the owners was working and his two friends were visiting so we all just hung out and chatted. he told us all about how they got started. three twenty somethings with a love for beer. it doesn't get much more awesome than that. AND i, myself am not a beer drinker. there are a few i enjoy, but it is not my beverage of choice. well my friends, their beer is so SO good. if you're ever out there, stop by. their beer is actually now in the new brewtique in patchogue. i'll have to go down there and show more support. any way, check them out here.

after that, we went to the light house and grabbed some snacks and headed back to the room and took a nap. this bed was so comfortable it was the best nap and sleep i have had in months.

we went to dinner at harvest on fort pond. not much is open in december, but vaughn at the brewery recommended it, and i read reviews online. it was quite tasty. there even was a show! not really, just the entertainment of a couple arguing for the entire dinner about the woman's food allergies, and how she doesn't explain herself correctly. it really was amusing.

we got back to the room and just lay in bed for like 4 hours watching TV and went to sleep. it really was perfect and so relaxing. ant works 70 hrs a week and i don't work nearly as much as that but i always have something and usually always have pet-sitting. this was such a nice break.

i totally recommend montauk off season.
