something awesome

last tuesday ant and i did something totally spontaneous and awesome. i finished my dinner around 6:30pm and i was checking my twitter. i saw rico rodriguez's, (you know, manny from modern family) tweet saying he was going to be at barnes&noble in lake grove at 7pm for his book signing. i gasped and texted ant and said "lets go!! fuck the gym!" (we were supposed to start working out last tuesday but this obviously was more important. so ant got to my house around 6:45 and we headed to the mall. it wasn't crowded at all, a very small line. we bought the book and got to meet him! he was so nice and he's just adorable. that morning, he was on LIVE with kelly and i thought to myself "i'm going to ask for that book for christmas." the funny part of all of this was when we met him i told him how this was ant and i's first book purchase since being engaged and rico said he was honored and then told his manager. his manager then told rico's mom and introduced us to her! we shook her hand and she told us congrats and that she's been married for 30 years. AND the little crowd around them started cheering for us and clapping. it was so funny and surreal and made for an awesome tuesday night. when we got home we obviously had to tweet about our experience with him and he retweeted ant's tweet. it's the little things in life like a tweet to make your day EVEN better.
