two short films

this past week i have had the pleasure of going to the stonybrook film festival. i enjoy it every year and i saw some great films this year. two of which, were two awesome short films. i adore short films..i always have and i had the pleasure to work on one when i first got out of college.

the thing that always gets me is how ant and i are usually the youngest people at this festival. how come no young people go?! do people not know about it? it's usually a way older crowd...which is fine, but i just don't understand where the younger crowd is.

anyway..

the first short i saw was called Gun. my boss's son, was actually the executive producer on it. it was a really intense film about a man who witnessed a guy break into his house..and from that experience he decides that he needs to own a gun. he then becomes obsessed with it. you can take a look at the trailer here.

the next short i saw was called Tinker. i could not stop smiling during this little film. it was so inspiring and visually stimulating. it was about a man in the 1940s who owned a shop in which he could fix everything and anything. one night a woman stumbles in from the rain with a broken umbrella, he fixes it and from there, their story develops. it was so wonderful. you can take a look at it here.
